Because the Switch is selling more than the PS4 in Japan in most weeks? So? How about the rest of the world? For the developers it doesnt matter wher the money comes from, money is money. The Japanese market are Pro Handheld and that is no secret. It is also common knowledge that Sony failed at the handheld market. But that isnt the whole picture. Where are the japanese games? Who's got better japanese 3rd party support? Like i said, the Switch in my opinion is not revolutionary. Not at all. It is a well presented idea with a well made machine. That is it. It wont be replacing the videogame model that we know, at least not in my lifetime. Both markets will always co-exist. The stationary console, and the portable console. I think Nintendo should release a cheaper, non portable Switch BTW.

LOL, why are you bringin up the rest of the world if I was talking about Sony losing Japan? Japan is pro handheld but again we all forget it's a hybrid device. That's what Nintendo is selling it as so that's what I'm basing it off of. Having games on PS4 in Japan doesn't mean you've won that region...it just means you have games on PS4 in Japan. Switch has simply taken over there and sure they have Monster Hunter World coming (and apparently Switch has its own new MH coming) but after MHW which isn't even really an exclusive and Dragon Quest XI also not exclusive, and KH3 also not exclusive, and FFVII...also not exclusive, but after all these games come to PS4 I see the PS4 in Japan taking 4th place behind Switch, 3DS, and Vita maybe 3rd before Vita.
But if we want to include the rest of the world, yeah Sony is killing it to their credit. If Sony failed the handheld market in Japan...why has it outsold the PS4 in Japan? There's room and a need for PS handheld product as it creates competition which is healthy for Nintendo and Sony. Right now, sure PS4 has more Japanese games...it has been out for 4 going on 5 years and swich 9 months. But the support it is getting is still amazing. Not to mention Nintendo's 1st party output on the console which rivals much of the Jap support on PS4 alone.
I never said Switch was revolutionary, but it is the future of gaming in my eyes. You don't have to believe it, I don't expect you to believe it, and you know...you shouldn't believe it. Believe what you want because at the end of the day it's just a prediction. Just never say never in the field of technology. That's one word that great engineers, hardware or software, never use.
