I liked PS1 so much more at the time. I actually sold my N64 in late 1997 and didn't get another until like 1999 or 2009 (whenever Donkey Kong Country 64 came out). I just couldn't stomach the delays and droughts. Like I said before, the PS1's music, diversity, CGI FMVs (mind-blowing at the time), and CD player made it a clear winner.

As time progressed and things like cinematic soundtracks, CGI, etc became less special, the only thing that mattered to me was the experience and the fun.

I have over 100 physical PS1 games.
I have a WiiU and a Wii.
I have a PSP, Vita, and PS3.
I can play several great games from that gen on more modern hardware. I've purchased and still play many N64 games. I've purchased and TRIED to play many PS1 games. There are still some great games on PS1 like Xenogears, Final Fantasy Tactics, Street Fighter Alpha 3, etc but for my modern tastes, they just can't beat games like Wave Race, Starfox 64, and Zelda.

In their prime, PS1.
Today, N64.

And now I know, whenever I want a thread with hundreds of posts, all I have to do is drag out the old console wars!
