It does not seem like Sony does have too much of a choice.
Sony is mainly in business with AMD. But AMD does not have an architecture that can compete with Nvidias Tegra.
I do not think that the contracts between Nintendo and Nvidia would allow Nvidia to produce chips also for Sony (or Microsoft).
