On the topic of driving, I just got my vehicle back from the shop yesterday. Someone pulled out in front of my wife when she was taking it to work a few weeks back. Both parties denied fault and it was an ugly process which worked out in our favour thanks to the police report siding with my wife.
Apparently the other driver was a young high school girl who had already been in an accident very recently and was complaining that her parents were going to kill her, so that didn't help her cause.
Even though it worked out in our favor, f@#! AllState, taking forever to come to a decision and then making me jump through hoops to get the money to the mechanic, making me call them up several times to extend my car rental when the mechanic was taking longer than expected (not sure if this is a thing only in my area, but there was a huge worker's strike for mechanics in my area where mechanics were protesting outside of every major dealership, so yeah, it took awhile to get it fixed).
