It's fine keeping the same people in power for a long time when you know they're not extremist morons.
That said I did not vote because the party I wanted to vote for isn't on my ballot. And as usual I will still be satisfied with the result and will never complain about the people in power because I never had to.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
