So, I've decided to go nu metal again!! For some reason I've been having a blast to the past, to the time where Slipknot were one of my favourite bands!! This was the album of theirs that I was definitely most familiar with, and while being heavier than many of the other nu metal albums that it was compared to, it was also lambasted by heavy metal fans for its sound. However, I am in the camp of those who appreciated its sound, having nice very nice percussive section, and trying to bring in a horror-like atmosphere. However, unfortunately the version I had removed my favourite song on the album, Purity. This version has all of the songs from the album, so it's a nice complete version. It was an interesting experiment though, as Slipknot are renowned for their large size: a vocalist, two guitarists, a bassist, a drummer, two percussionists, a sampler and a turntablist!
