Meanwhile, I look at a game and say "That game is on MY console!? I can play it!" and I get excited.

Yep, I also never understood why a game release is devalued if it is also on another platform. Each game makes a platform more valuable, being an exclusive or not.

Not to mention how few people own a Wii U. There are certainly over 6 million Switches out there, and I have a feeling a good portion of the owners never had a Wii U. Zelda and Mario Kart 8 might as well be brand new games to them.
