I'll just say this on the topic. I think that, people who are saying we should just get new games(KH3), old games(Final Fantasy collection?) or exclusives(Side games) are missing the point...

It's not about this game being Square's main contribution to Switch. It's not about Square Enix just cashing in a metaphorical loan to Nintendo. It's about advertising and showing that these kind of games CAN be on Switch. Consumers in Japan will take even more note to a Switch that has Splatoon, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, AND a mainline Final Fantasy. And western consumers, while the majority might still be casual, most likely still have somewhat of a grasp of technology and graphical potential. Seeing a game like Final Fantasy XV, even with worse graphics, will probably impress them.

To say that this should not be Square's contribution is missing the point I feel. Do we honestly believe that Square is working their ass off for this game but not Kingdom Hearts 3/Final Fantasy 7 Remake? Even if both of those games have some kind of deal with Playstation, it is very likely they'll come to Switch and will be complete products to boot. We already know about Dragon Quest, and while I am a bit worried that later release dates for these games will impact their reach and influence, there is NO alternative to them in the portable scene. In a year or two's time, Switch will be the Squeenix machine, with titles like Final Fantasy XV, Dragon Quest 11, Project Octopath Traveler, and if they're even released by then Kingdom Hearts 3 and FF7 Remake.

No, this is being commented on for a specific reason. Not because it's their main contribution, but because it's their hardest contribution.
