You mean the false report of illegal weapons which where never found when developing MIRVs to destroy entire continents. The last time the US had a good reason to go to war was with Japan and Germany.

Except USA forced Pearl Harbour by both pressuring Japan to have no alternative and also having intel of the occurence and doing nothing to prevent. Because they wanted to enter war.
