Is PSP3/Vita 2 actually a thing?
I'm genuinely curious what you all think.
Personally, I'm not convinced it's on the horizon at all.
With PS4 performing so great, I just don't think Sony wants to risk diverting resources towards it. I think the Switch success took them by surprise as much as anyone else - so anything in the works to compete with that is probably still very, very early in development if it all. They still have a VR and 4K platform to build on too.
If it were to arrive in the next year, I would certainly think they'd obviously want to have Monster Hunter as a launch window game for the portable - but not sure if that could happen given MHW launches in January.
The overall level of speculation of PSP3 feels to be at a lower level than NX was even back in 2015 - but if I missed something let me know.
If it were to come, I predict Sony will have scrambled to get it out there - though if it had a similar dev process to Switch that could be great for everyone.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
