the goal of socialism is to reduce inequality... which is the same thing as making people more equal...

In that way the socialism was a runaway success on URSS, Cuba, Venezuela and China... the only one inequality is between party elite versus the rest, but all the rest is the same, no inequality on how much they are poor.
