Based on VGC (which I assume gets its Japan figures from MC/Famitsu) it sold 3.77m in Japan. Which while good means about 70% of Japanese Wii buyers didn't want it. If the same had been true in the west (and they weren't forced to have it regardless of whether they wanted it (yes, I'm still bitter about being forced to have a game I didn't want!)) then the amount it would have actually sold would be nowhere near the likes of GTAV.

You do know GTA V has been heavily bundled on PS3, PS4, X360 and XOne, right?  Even now it's still bundled online and in many stores. It's also had 6 editions and released on 5 platforms.

If we're going to knock Wii Sports for bundling, you better play it fair.  No doubt that GTA V would still be one of the best selling games of all time without the bundles and very likely is the highest seller of all time if bundles are removed.  But we have no way to know the ratio of bundled to unbunbled sales.

Are you comparing a game  released in one system vs a game released in five systens?

GTAV was in five diferent system, all released in worldwide market. The sum o instaled base is almost 300 M and the Wii sels only 100M.

Tetris so is a a bigger game because sell more than GTA V in various system.

Crazy comparison
