Same. I really liked GTA IV, and GTA 3 was my favorite of the 3 PS2 games. I have the collection too, and have only played GTA 3.

No, sir Cok. No.

Give San Andreas a chance. The beginning is slow but eventually you'll see why it's such a fun game and better than 3 and Vice (imo of course). It holds both light and dark aspects as a GTA game should do. GTA V forgets the darker moments and as a result you don't feel like anything is at stake other than "First to $100m wins!"

I hardly died a single time in GTAV's campaign and for me dying is part of (GTA) games in that it forces you to change and improve your strategy. I also didn't like to be forced to play as different characters. It'd be fine to be able to choose between different characters when starting the campaign but from there I want to immerse myself in the universe of only 1 character.

I'll give both San Andreas and Vice City another go at some point. My initial impression of both, way back when they first launched, was that they didn't feel the same in terms of how they controlled. Basically, I prefered the driving in GTA 3, and never played Vice or San Andreas nearly as much as GTA 3. Of course, this was a long time ago, so I'll be approaching Vice City and San Andreas now almost as entirely new experiences. It took a solid hour before I could even begin to enjoy GTA 3. I found most of it, especially the graphics, to be a shock to the system. Ended up really enjoying it again, and getting 100% for the first time along with the platinum trophy.
