Nuts suck as protein source, at least mine do. My almonds are 6g protein / 160 calories. I require 180g protein a day so 4800 calories, which is unfeasible of course.
My ground turkey on the other hand is 22g protein / 160 calories. A much more manageable 1300 calories if I choose. Of course I mix it with a lot of other proteins foods, and the nuts are a good healthy snack. Just not for protein.
Edit: Actually here is an article that will explain it better than me. https://www.heathernicholds.com/nutrition/protein-in-nuts
Be better off eating Peas :).

Nuts are great for healthy fats.....so long as you factor fats into your diet. gotta be very low carb with nuts in your diet.

Of course :). I been eating 320 calories worth of almonds each day, but the 95% of my protein comes from dairy and ground turkey.

Interesting, I never looked into it that much. I just know that pumpkin seeds, walnuts, almonds are very nutrient dense and pack a decent amount of protein. There's other benefits to eating it aside from the protein. But ground turkey is a great call too. Don't really care for peas tbh d: I'm also not a weight lifter so that's not as important to me

Everything is more complicated then it seems. I went for ground turkey for weight loss, which means I check calories all the time. But if I go over my limit due to almonds, it really is no big deal since they are so healthy.
OT: I might suggest cold showers to jumpstart your day :). They are surprisingly very healthy.
