AMD Radeon Technologies Group Raja Koduri Goes on Sabbatical
https://www.pcper.com/news/Graphics-Cards/AMD-Radeon-Technologies-Group-Raja-Koduri-Goes-Sabbatical
Radeon Technologies Group SVP and Chief Architect Raja Koduri is taking sabbatical from AMD as of today, with a target return date in December. As first reported by our friends at Fudzilla (and also Tweaktown), and that I was able to confirm through AMD this evening, one of our favorite people in the graphics industry will be stepping aside for the time being. AMD CEO Lisa Su will be taking over the Radeon Technologies Group in the interim.

>>Looks like Vega development and launch took the best of him.

Geekbench results for Raven Ridge 2500U
http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/geekbench-results-for-raven-ridge-2500u.html
Probably the one entity where most results leak from Geekbench, and guess what. Raven Ridge Geekbench scores have just surfaced. It invokes the AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Radeon Vega Graphics @ 2.00 GHz 1 processor, 4 cores and 8 threads.

Earlier on Ryzen 7 2700U also already was spotted, but the more mainstream Ryzen 5 2500U APU certainly manages to impress. The Ryzen 5 2500U will make use of a AMD Radeon Vega 8 based mobile graphics architecture. The new APUs are expected to arrive late this year or more likely, in Q1 2018 with a CES announcement. This will be the AMD Ryzen 2000 series of APUs including Ryzen Mobile APUs.

>>To give it some comparison, here are the Geekbench scores for the 2500U and the A12-9800 APUs:

+2500U: https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/3989399 # Single-Core Score: 3561 # Multi-Core Score: 9421

+A12-9800: https://browser.geekbench.com/processors/1945 # Single-Core Score: 2607 # Multi-Core Score: 6329

RUMOR: NVIDIA preparing GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
https://videocardz.com/72531/rumor-nvidia-preparing-geforce-gtx-1070-ti
I will just say it once, I don’t know if this is true. No one seems to be able to confirm it (yet). The story is that NVIDIA is allegedly working on a new GTX 1070 Ti graphics card with few more cores. According to the rumor, the new card would have 2304 CUDA cores (which I find hard to believe because it would very close to 1080 and the gap is not really that big). So as much as I love making charts for specs comparison, I think it’s too early to make one here.

Partially the reason why I’m posting this rumor is this photograph, clearly showing ASUS GTX 1070 Ti STRIX O8G. It may just be a typo, which may just be adding unnecessary fuss to the story, or it may be a real thing. Whatever it is, it has been a while since we had a rumor about a new high-end card from NVIDIA, so have a look:

>>Do you believe it?
