Well played a little over an hour of the Octopath demo last night. Makes sense the title now, but wow damn, did the Primrose side so far and man this story is dark as heck. Totally not kid friendly, imo.

Also had been playing Pokémon Sun lately as my gaming and hadn't used the Switch for some time, and when I booted that up I was just like "damn, now this is a handheld" It is such a sleek and awesome looking little machine. Had to do a system update and it still baffles me that the handheld IS the system. Felt like I needed to put it back into the dock to update for some reason.

Crazy how 6 months later and I'm still amazed by the technical marvel of this little device. The feels l had last night after not really touching it for like a month felt the same as when I first opened the box back in March. Just thinking, wow this is gorgeous, this is small, this is sleek, this is beautiful. And I only played the Octopath game, didn't even load up a big fancy AAA graphics looking game. I know Doom has a downgrade based on pics, but everything looks better in a tiny handheld screen. I'm sure that game will just wow those playing it, thinking "holy shit, this is a handheld doing this"

Oh and Octopath traveler. Amazing game so far. It's no question I will be getting this game. Immensly more immersive and fun than Bravely Default was imo, and that was a good game. If you haven't tried out teh demo yet and have a Switch, please do so. Also did anyone who played it get the feeling of cut content. You know like when the screen would like flash/go black between scenes like we woudl be getting a cut scene or an art picture in the real game. Like when Primrose was going to do her dance on stage, the screen like flashed like it skipped forward and continued as if the dance was done. Felt like there woudl be a cutscene entered there, or at the least an art picture of her dancing. Also curious on voice acting. Wonder if more will be voice acted come full release or they will do the only voice acting during scripted events. Playing Divinity Original Sin right now, I hope the whole game is voice acted.
