it seems that working at ND (and from what i read, other major AAA devs as well), is just too taxing with a lot of pressure and work hours involved. ND seems to have a lot.... ALOT of say of what they work on and how they do it. if he wanted to work on a new IP, im sure he could have gathered a team after UC4 and began work on one.
