7/10. Two big announcements(hehe), a great job of showing Octopath(even if it was narrated like ASMR) and a nice surprise to get a demo, Mario Odyssey news that shows yet again Nintendo embracing modern design choices, and a lot of other compelling stuff that escapes me. That's kind of the problem though, it's just compelling. I'm bathled that Golf Story is a Switch exclusive AND releasing this month but we don't know the release date? No rocket league release date? Still, I'm glad to know that if I ever wanted to get into JRPGs (besides Pokemon) there will be a fuck ton of games on the 3ds releasing, though I wish they were on Switch.
Look, I'm not a fan of remasters very much, but remix collections are such a nice idea. And a Mario Party 1-10 Remix collection being exclusive to 3ds .... one of the dumbest decisions Nintendo has made this year.
They actually showed off some really impressive areas in Xenoblade 2 but some of the areas look a lot worse than the others and the visual polish is lacking. Plus, terrible narration and voice acting. Still, I'm glad they're showing it first and foremost, so that it can hopefully make the series expand in popularity. I think they're banking on handheld only gamers picking it up in Japan.
Also...they didn't show any Yoshi. I knew they would show either kirby or yoshi, but does this mean they basically confirmed Kirby releases before Yoshi on Switch?
