My examples primarily highlight attempts by the console companies to broaden their bases.

Comparing MGS4 & FFXIII to ME and BS is like comparing console staples to scraps. IF you wanted to make that comparison you should have them up against things like GeoW2 and Fable2.

Fair enough.  Look at their respective effects on install base.  UC and ME are hard to measure due to the holiday period, but Bioshock significantly helped 360 sales where R&C was originally labelled as close to bombing.

As for UT3?  It did NOT do well.

Star Ocean was being hailed as a high-profile PS3 JRPG exclusive not so long ago.....lets see what happens.
