Wednesday news, part two:
Firewatch is getting review-bombed on Steam

The big gaming controversy of the week (so far) kicked off in a big way on Sunday when YouTuber PewDiePie dropped an ugly racial slur in an angry outburst during a PUBG livestream. That prompted Firewatch developer Campo Santo to disassociate itself with the streamer by filing a DMCA takedown notice against all of his Firewatch content. And as day follows night, that in turn has resulted in a thorough and ongoing review-bombing campaign against the game on Steam.

Bungie removes Destiny 2 gauntlet that features elements of a 'hate symbol'
http://www.pcgamer.com/bungie-removes-destiny-2-gauntlet-that-features-elements-of-a-hate-symbol/
"It has come to our attention that a gauntlet in Destiny 2 shares elements with a hate symbol," developer Bungie tweeted earlier today. "It is not intentional. We are removing it." And good on them, I say. There's just one problem: Virtually nobody in the Destiny community had any idea what Bungie was talking about.
Over a million people are estimated to have grabbed Mirage: Arcane Warfare for free
http://www.pcgamer.com/over-a-million-people-are-estimated-to-have-grabbed-mirage-arcane-warfare-for-free/
According to Steam Spy's estimation, over 1.2 million people now own Mirage on Steam. The data isn't perfectly accurate—Steam Spy doesn't get raw ownership numbers and relies on automatically gathering data from Steam profiles—but even if the number is off by 200,000 owners, a million more people own Mirage than did before the promotion.

We've covered every other Orcish tribe that will appear in Monolith's upcoming alt-Tolkien action game Middle-earth: Shadow of War, so in the interests of fairness I give you the Feral Tribe: "By tooth or by claw, they won't stop until the enemy is hunted down."

Endless Space 2 battles will look a lot more like Homeworld with the free addition of fighters and bombers, complete with glowing engine trails fighter vs. bomber dogfights.
>>That's probably the reason why the game is on sale on Steam.
