The news, part two:

Either mistakenly or intentionally, the first expansion to Destiny 2—which won't even be out for the PC until October 24—has appeared on the Microsoft Store. Called Curse of Osiris, the expansion will feature "new story missions and adventures" set on the planet Mercury.

Elite Dangerous players have only explored 0.003 percent of the galaxy
http://www.pcgamer.com/elite-dangerous-players-have-only-explored-0003-percent-of-the-galaxy/
Elite Dangerous' version of our Milky Way Galaxy is pretty damn accurate, which is to say that it's incomprehensibly massive. There's some 400 billion stars out in the void beyond the bubble of inhabited systems, and, despite all of the intrepid adventurers, pilots have a long way to go before they've even seen one percent of what's out there.

Ancestors Legacy gameplay trailer showcases 'historically accurate' medieval RTS
http://www.pcgamer.com/ancestors-legacy-gameplay-trailer-showcases-historically-accurate-medieval-rts/
It's no secret that I am not a fan of Destructive Creation's previous game, IS Defense. (Its debut effort, Hatred, was mainly just embarrassing.) But the studio's new project, a "historically accurate" RTS called Ancestors Legacy (originally just Ancestors, but it was renamed to be "more unique"), looks like it might have a little more going on.

Absolver's server connection and matchmaking patch is live
http://www.pcgamer.com/absolvers-server-connection-and-matchmaking-patch-is-live/
Absolver is all I've played over the last couple weeks. I love it. But for most of that time, I've struggled to connect to its servers, and even when I do (it's been better recently) I often get into laggy 1v1 matches. Developer Sloclap has been aware of these issues since launch, and the update is finally here.

Archaica: The Path of Light first piqued my interest about a year ago with a trailer showing off some pretty environments and puzzles filled with lasers and mirrors. It's just slid onto Steam, and if you're looking for something to scratch your head to it could be worth checking out.

Hearthstone to drop restrictive Arena 'synergy picks' system
http://www.pcgamer.com/hearthstone-to-drop-restrictive-arena-synergy-picks-system/
Blizzard has pulled a swift u-turn on last month's changes to Hearthstone's Arena mode after negative feedback from fans.
In the mode, players pick between one of three random cards, repeating the process until they have a full 30-card deck. Last month's Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion added a system whereby your options for the first two cards are limited to a smaller pool of "synergy cards" that work well with other cards of the same type.

Top-down survival game Wayward to add multiplayer
http://www.pcgamer.com/top-down-survival-game-wayward-to-add-multiplayer/
Wayward attracted a fair amount of attention back in 2013 while it was still in very early stages of development. Tom played the top-down survival game and said it had "echoes of Ultima Online, Dwarf Fortress and Minecraft". It's now in Early Access and developer Unlok has announced that it will add multiplayer in the next update, which should increase its longevity.
