White people need to be made aware of the term Pindu's. Thats what these people are. They dont represent most indians/ punjabis etc. 

I've never heard of that term before but considering "Pindu" translates to "Village Person" in Punjabi, I'm sure its fairly widespread. This type of violence is in select groups of people from India, but it shows that archaic practices such as this are still somewhat present in the culture. Then again, I'm not sure if anyone can effectively categorize the behavior of over 1.2 billion individuals.
