I think the "issue" that these overly sensitive people have is that it implies a father is an important part of raising a child, and some kids are raised by two mothers.
I donno, I just can't understand why people get so damn sensitive about these things. There's mountains of evidence showing the important impact a faithful father has on a kid's life as opposed to those who grow up without him, and there's also plenty of evidence that same sex couples are equally capable of raising kids. People really need to stop being so dang touchy.
