A $1,000 per month cash handout would grow the U.S economy by $2.5 trillion, new study says

I see this as 1) causing inflation 2) spending $2.9 trillion (a year) to grow the economy by $2.5 trillion (after several years) is not a positive gain 3) not everyone needs this type of handout.

This is a really short-sighted idea.
