Wrong. Objectivity does not exist in art. Furthermore, your favorite games ARE the best games of all time - just to you though.

Think about it. If your favorite film is American History X but you think the best movie is Citizen Kane, then the movie that accomplished it's intent the most is the one that captivated your attention and mindshare enough to become your favorite movie. Therefore, even if it has more flaws than the latter, it also accomplishes it's goal more, and those flaws don't stand in the way of making it the movie that takes up your mindshare the most - so it would be the best movie despite it's flaws.

It's just a bad list because it feels disingenous and/or lacking in substance.

Wrong.  We're not talking about art, we're talking about video-games.

Also, your last sentence makes no sense.  "There is no objectivity but it's a bad list"?

It doesn't matter if you consider it art or not, I never even talked about movies as art, it's an example you could literally change it with any video games. Change those movies with your "favorite game" and your "best game" and literally nothing changes. Just because something is a video game doesn't mean there's automatically an objective element to it, hell that doesn't even make sense .... video games are probably the 2nd most subjective medium because of the player interaction they require.

Yeah, it's a bad list ... in MY OPINION. I know, mindblown!
