Sales on X360 were more concentrated in some genres... so when looking the top 10 or things like that X360 have the top 10 at higher numbers, but considering distribution PS3 were better... and there was even a possibility that in total SW sold PS3 could overtake X360, but both were pretty tied on the last years of the gen.
By vgc the difference in total SW sold is around 35M, so considering how unprecise the tool is we can say that in general terms both ended tie on total HW, SW and Tie Ratio.
