When you're the "thing" and your game sells like hotcakes, it's easy to fall in the trap and rest on their laurels.

But now there's a new thing, and it's even bigger than Rocket League, so they have to start paying attention to the game again to not lose players.

Players they "lose" to the next big thing aren't coming back anyway and they aren't leaving because of a few small issues. What they're doing is simple maintenance for the current very active playerbase. Their big efforts in esports are enough to keep people hooked and bring new people in. Though I wonder, if you haven't played Rocket League until now what the fuck are you doing with your life?

Plenty other things, like playing other games (X-COM 2 in my case this "free" weekend, and now I know I want it even more) or even going out.

But I don't play multiplayer games, so it's easier for me to skip this kind of games.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070
