On the one hand I want to applaud Nintendo for supporting their system with some of the best software lineups imaginable in a consoles first year - at least exclusive wise.

On the other? I, as a gamer personally, am disappointed. Splatoon 2 I thought would be significantly different due to the gimmicks of the campaign being in the multiplayer, the new weapons, and some of the new game modes. It's different, some might argue different enough for a sequel, but it's just kind of "meh" to me as a product. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a complete rip off and not a game i'm looking to buy. Arms is fun but limited. And Breath of the Wild ... well .. I played about 70 hours, and I really enjoy about 60 of those ... but I had to pause the game for weeks because I simply don't have the drive to finish the game. So much about it could have been done so much better, and it won't have the replay value of other Zelda games either.

Ultimately, everything except Arms is more or less available on Wii U too. I think Switch's library is very impressive from a business perspective, but as a gamer? I'm waiting for Mario Odyssey, Fire Emblem Warriors and Xenoblade 2. I haven't turned on my Switch in weeks though, I'm kind of hoping i'm just Switched-out and that when I return i'll enjoy the software more.
