Sony tried forcing Blu-Ray into every home with the PS3. Do you really think there would have been a $600 price tag without it? The reveal of the XB1 was a disaster in part thanks to the focus on T.V., Sports, and T.V.

I don't have an issue with Zero's thinking that exclusives don't win console wars. I have a problem with him thinking that a focus on small insignificant extra media features will win a console war. Don't get me wrong on that point either though. If somebody made a console that doubled as a holographic projector it would sell like hotcakes, the same as the PS2 did by being a DVD player.

I never said that. What wins is preception of how the market views the product.

Why do you think Samsung is beating so many other Android phones with the Galaxy line when it has no exclusives?.

All the best selling console would need to do is do better then the rest like blu ray players and tvs etc.

Here you are saying that if there's no exclusives then the best selling system can just be determined by a focus on small insignificant extra media features.
