So you are just ignoring the PC market.  The model MS is going for is the PC/tablet market to hardware design and software compatibility.  Whether this is what the market wants and what the devs want we will see.  I am sure MS is not doing this in a vacuum but you never know.  Anyway, I know which one I prefer.
