I know its an opinion but your opinion sucks lol

Speaking seriously, really?Old 2D Marios are as solid as 2D platformers can get.Its really strage, for the lack of a proper words, that someone would find the gameplay slippery.I think this is a living proof that there is no one single game that can appeal to everyone.

I'm pretty sure it was specifically the NES games that felt slippery. I never finished them, but I played them on Wii and Wii U and just couldn't get into them after trying for hours on end. Even the music is like good ... but it gets tedious . Besides, I think the 2D Sonic games, Rayman Legends and Tropical Freeze are much better examples of how "solid" 2D platformers can be. The mario games are just kind of boring for what they are. I never reached the insane levels though, but I think i'd rather see a continuation of the 3D Land/World games than 2D ones lol.

I actually feel quite the oposite. For me, Sonic and Rayman are far more inferior than the Mario games. They feel more unresponsive, they lack the masterful level design that Mario games have, and are just plain less fun.

I actually dont even like old Sonic games, I just find them mediocre.Sonic Mania was the one that made me care more about Sonic, but even then the game doesnt hold a candle against Mario. It just goes to show that there are tastes for everything.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
