wow combat is very differnt...
auto attacks -> charge normal arts -> normal arts charge elemental arts.

okay, this reminds abit me of Final Fantasy XI (a mmo).... its kinda like a TP system.

No more auto attacking while moveing, you have to stay stationary to attack at all.

Most healing is via makeing enemies drop potions?

very intresting video:

This isn't the first time they've tried an alternative healing concept.  They did it in XCX too.  Most healing is done via the Soul Voice system.  I think it comes down to the fact that Sharla was a rather unpopular character in most people's parties in the original XC.  I imagine you will still be able to, if you wish, have a character with some good healing abilities without the combat-driven healing system, there just won't be a dedicated healer.

And the combat is different but the foundations are still similar.  What I like is that auto attacks charge your arts but your other blades charge on a timer and when they fully charge, all their arts are charged.  So you actually have at any given time 3 arts charging via auto attacks and up to 6 charging via timer.  I also like that you now have 2 kinds of chain attack, the new kind where the elemental specials can be chained together for a big finish in real time and the old school chain attack from XC that lets you instantly launch your high level arts.
