Our dog has separation anxiety. He starts howling as soon as you go outside for a minute. His previous owner who got him as a pup died of old age. It took over a year before he became a bit more comfortable with us, very timid little fellow, except outside he'll go into full fight mode when other dogs are near. He's a handful.
