| Soundwave said: I think people on message boards make a bigger fuss out of exclusives. Truth is I don't think much of the PS/XBox buyer base gives that much of a crap, they are buying those systems for the big gun third party IPs -- your CODs, GTAs, Destinys, Maddens, NBA2Ks, Battlefield, Star Wars Battlefront, etc. XBox One X will have all of those on top of being the most powerful system by a good margin, those are more key. The price point being a bit high I'd say is the bigger issue, but looks like early adopters are pre-ordering the thing like crazy. |
Most of the buyer base doesn't give a crap about power or resolution either. The two biggest things are price and where are my friends. ps4 started with the price advantage and now all the friends are on that side, which is why MS is pushing cross platform platform play so hard. The One X is not going to make a difference as it's priced out of the casual market. All it does is make the One S look like the forgotten ugly brother.
Exclusives are a reason to buy a secondary console. The problem with XBox this gen is, that it's not giving any significant enough reason to get it as a secondary console, while ps4 and Switch do.
