Definite buy. I hope Skyrim has full locomotion though. I think it was only Doom that's limited to teleporting.

I can't imagine a FPS where you teleport...hopefully you're right on Skyrim. RE7 nailed it without causing motion sickness.

I'll remain cautiously optimistic after this article

https://uploadvr.com/doom-vfr-favorite-vr-game-e3/

The biggest draw for me is that Doom VFR feels like, well, Doom. It’s fast, it’s frantic and it’s all about the movement. Granted there’s no full locomotion, but the teleportation plus quick dash combo works really well, and it feels like Doom should feel. Using the trackpad to do quick dashes, I could even circle strafe around demons, dodging their fireballs in the process.

Entering teleportation also added a unique gameplay twist as the action slowed down around me, allowing me to dodge incoming projectiles and quickly turn to take out the lumbering and plentiful hellspawn. It didn’t feel cheap, and it was even welcomed and sometimes necessary when I would get surrounded by a half-dozen mobs at once.

Sounds like they took the time to make the best of it, and finally some use for the trackpad again!

The annoying thing is that all the measures devs add to prevent motion sickness are actually causing me unease. The last two games I bought; Soul flux does the usual 30 degree snap turning. Which means you always have to look slightly sideways to walk 'forward' as the view is never straight, which feels unnatural while the snap turning is disorienting. Turning worked perfectly fine in RE7. I skipped Paranormal activity for now as it also has snap turning.
Neptune flux is a 6dof underwater exploration game. You can switch between 2D and VR; In VR it makes you sit back in the 'pod' limiting the fov (which you can overcome by recalibrating the position behind you then sit forward) but it also halves the rotational speed. The faster I can turn the more comfortable and natural it gets. I have zero problems in Cavernous wastes and Battle zone, the slow turning and limited fov in Neptune flux makes me feel uneasy.
Stop trying to protect me!
