I don't disagree with you here. The N64 certainly can't keep up with the sheer number of releases the PS1 had. The PS1 had a ton of great games, however, I think if you were to come up with a top five games list from both systems, the 64 could take the top three slots easily, and maybe even take 4/5.
Now, if we are talking top 100, i think you might be looking at close to a 70-30 split in the PS1's favor.
So basically the way I see it, I would say that the 64 has some of the best games, but the PS1 has way more good games in general. It was a great generation because of how different both consoles were, and they were both absolutely necessary to have in your household. As much as I enjoy the PS4 and X1, I can't say the same about those two systems.
