What is one of the craziest living species you have seen on Earth besides humans

In person, probably an octopus or a giant squid (the squid was dead, obviously, I'm not captain Ahab battling sea monsters). As to the craziest stuff I haven't seen, basically anything that lives in the deep ocean, it's all nightmare fuel (albeit awesome-looking  nightmare fuel) down there.
