So he isn't saying anything that vgc have discussed to death... but Phill will have another announcement saying they are increasing first party investments to unprecedented levels.

Well...

We all know that, but they will pretend that it isn't true.

Yeah...the investments seem to be focused on next gen. Last I checked they said between two and a half to three years. yeah...the next Xbox will be out by then. Another problem is those exclusives are being made by studios that we know exactly know, so it might or might not turn out well. Remember that we went through this before with Crytek and Black Tusk and one game was switch from a Kinect game to a regular game and the new IP from Black Tusk was scrapped for the perpetual Gears release. There will be one last Halo and One last Gears this gen. This gen for Xbox is like watching a ship sink slowly. Next gen people will be tired of Forza...mark my words.

Like i said in another thread.

This is the same ol' Microsoft we are seeing here, i dont know why people are surprised about this. Yes, this is by far the worst generation for Xbox ever (imo), but the tendencies are always the same.

Xbox consoles start with a strong foot, with several exclusives and deals and then...PUFF, they blow their load and end up the generation in a weak way.

It happened with Xbox, Xbox 360 and we are seeing the same with the Xbox One.

I dont know if they run out of money too soon, if they lack vision in the long term or what, but it always happen the same.

I cant see why it shouldnt be the same for next gen. Great couple of years, shitty couple of years.

Rinse and Repeat.

Well I would say that is the strategy that benefits them on investing less and getting the users to forgive them 3 gens in a row... it probably makes the early adoption fast, warranty 3rd party multiplats and them they cut the money and put on next gen. The burnt customers seem to want more of it.
