What's with that entire gen point? They changed their strategy only last year and it is definitely obvious that now they are very PC-focused. For example, yesterday at gamescom they've been talking about Forza 7 and how great it will play on PC and that it is the best version of the game and almost nothing was said about how great it plays on Xbox One X - their new console. It seems to me that they gave up on Xbox in Europe and will try to push PC here. The only region where Xbox consoles will be marketed really well is US as it seems right now.

Rise of Nations: Extended Cut. This game will have cross-play between Windows Store and Steam. And I can bet that there will be more of them to come.

Because the gen point is about how they support both their console and the PC side. They only recently decided to support PC gaming when their Xbox side took blows since the start of 8th gen, had things gone their way they would have continued ingoring their PC side like they ended up doing during 7th gen.

They've had since 2013 to change their stratagem for PC, but like I said before, they only did so because their Xbox side wasn't doing so well and seeing how Steam was still growing and gaining more consumers, while Origin was also growing and GoG as well.

I'm not sure how marketing will say it's the "best" version, we'll have to wait and see which advert appears on TV that tells it so, but I imagine it will be the typical X1X advert instead of the Windows 10 version.

Ah so one game, they had chances to go back on all the other games out thus far and only decided to roll with one of the less popular RTS games (compared to AoE, C&C, SC, Supreme Comm and Civ, RoN is the smaller game like it or not). I hope that by "more to come", we get a an aboslute landslide of crossplay supported titles and even those before the "change" in strategy. Like last gen, I'll hold MS's word to that and it better be 110% next year and every other year.
