Yes you nailed it. It was my experience that my lead didn't like me. She was nice at first. I must have rubbed her the wrong way because she started going at me. I just assumed it was a misunderstanding. I knew I was good at my job. I figured she was not seeing the right picture of me yet. But another meeting came and it was the same. This time I defended myself. I had her pull up the phone call and sure enough it had been a false accusation on her part. I felt like I was gracious about it and tried to laugh it off as vindication. She didn't find it funny. She changed subjects. I was naive and thought we could move past it. 

I'll say this.  In all my other jobs, it was expected to get a write up, a warning, if you screwed up. I didn't think it was possible for me to get fired so easily. It is a Japanese company. Even though all my coworkers were American, the culture is influenced by the Japanese. So my guess is that had something to do with it. But that's just me over thinking it probably. I felt like I was not confrontational. But I'm sure I can be without noticing. I was no different at Rockstar. But my manager seemed to have more experience. 

Damn. You seem to have learned a lot from this mishappen. Keep the lessons in your toolbelt and make sure to protect your new job carefully.

Thanks bro. I thought this same thing. Everything happens for a reason and makes us that much wiser for it.
