Yeah, people would complain just like they do in Forza 2. Oh wait, they don't. Almost all the hardcore Forza guys love the sim damage setting. It completely changes the way you race because a poorly timed overtaking manuever can put you out of the race for good. It adds an intense element to the game and requires additional strategy and skill to win.
Plus, it eliminates the "slide 'n' bang" strategy that is almost universally used in multiplayer GT games. Enter a corner, pitch it sideways, and knock your opponent off their line while taking their place and overtaking them. Without damage, I can only imagine how cheap some of the victories will be online. Just take your opponent out, there are no repurcussions for doing so.Â
