Cut out a small circle of cardboard and gradually move it in front of a lit lightbulb so it obscures it completely then gradually move it away from the lightbulb so the lightbulb can be seen again. Same effect, you can repeat whenever you want and don't risk damaging your eyesight.
I also have an alternative to the moon landings using a bag of cement and a small doll.
