I think it's a great thing that public opinion isn't always followed. I happen to like games like Batman: Arkham Knight or Assassin's Creed 3, which are deemed by the public as massive disappointments. The most important criteria is if there was a personal sense of enjoyment to be had with the game. Mixed opinions are what game developers need on their games in order to ensure that what is done well is maintained and what is done poorly is fixed.

Assassin's Creed III is actually a really great game, fuck the haters lol :P I've said it with Knack multiple times, but this is also another game I say it with, or moreso the series as a whole since people seem to like it less and less with each new installment, except Black Flag, people loved that lol. Can't say anything about Batman: Arkham Knight though, never played it, I really enjoyed Asylum, but never finished City, will eventually finish it and buy Knight since it's really cheap, lol

Arkham Knight's retail value dropped incredibly quick. Within a year of the game's release.. I already say it marked down to 15 dollars. The game still sold over 5 million copies in its first year.. so I guess it wasn't a massive financial disappointment. But... if you haven't finished Arkham City, I urge you to go finish it right now. I've played through the game like 8 times and it still doesn't bore me.  Also, Knack 2 will most likely be a decent game... so most people will be on your side soon. :)
