How many PS2s are in the wild?

If you look at weekly software sales the PS2's sales are pretty low which would tell me that the remaining userbase for the PS2 is pretty small and/or inactive; as a guess I would say 20 to 30 Million with most of those gamers not putting too many hours into it on a regular basis.
