Sony wont allow ARK devs to have crossplay between PSN and Xbox Live.

Sure, now all over sudden the business aspect has become irrelevant. Quite a few oppurtunists in this thread.

No, they don't. Because in contrast to Microsoft they are doing a good job in advancing the medium in many ways. MS is as useful as hole in the head in this industry. No need to support (by a rival company of all things) their laziness and damaging actions and encourage them in continuing in the same manner. They're paying the penalty for what they've done the past 1 1/2 decades (and continue doing) and that is a good thing.
