Yeah they do. I refuse to buy a classic controller and if I didn't own a GC when I bought the Wii, I'd be pretty irritated at the cost of the Wiimote, nunchuck, and GC (or classic) controllers.
It's bad enough that they nail you for $60 on a Wiimote/nunchuck combo. It seems to me as if Nintendo should have spent more time making the Wiimote work better with more buttons so that you don't end up with 8 freakin' controllers for one system.Â
