The Wii Remote is one of the more comfortable controllers I've held, and I prefer its ergonomics to the Gamecube Controller, Xbox controller, and PS1 controller, so I think we're not calling it out because many of us don't agree :p

I liked the PS2 controller quite a bit, but since I'm a PC Gamer first and foremost, holding any pad with both hands feels unnatural at this point. It's a bit peculiar, but I immediately felt more comfortable with the Wii Mote/Nunchuck because it gave each hand a separate task, just as the Mouse and Keyboard do.

I can see how the Wiimote not be uncomfortable to everyone else like it is to me.

But I don't really see how anyone can defend the button layout. It's pretty weak by any standard.

Before I get flamed, I love my Wii but that doesn't mean I'm above criticizing its flaws.

Yep, I can agree with that. Button-heavy games are definitely going to suffer, and I think Super Smash Brothers is an example of that (they seem to be leaning towards the classic controller as the base).

Nintendo needs to be careful with that, because casual players aren't going to want to be buying 6+ controllers (4 Wii Remotes, then others for titles that don't fit the control scheme).
