Valve may deny developers large batches of Steam keys if it 'isn't worth the cost'

In a leaked post from Steam's developer forum, Valve employee Sean Jenkins explains that key requests can be denied if Valve feels a game isn't earning its keep, though it isn't clear how new this policy is or isn't.

Capcom and Marvel have released a new story trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. In its story mode, Ultron Sigma has obtained two Infinity Stones and fused the Marvel and Capcom universes. Jedah has conspired with other villains to create a ravenous Symbiote beast and players will have to rely on Thanos in order to lead them to the remaining Infinity Stones and beat back these threats.

 

Absolver’s online multiplayer features detailed

Devolver Digital has detailed the online multiplayer features in their forthcoming melee combat game Absolver with the new ‘Friends & Foes’ video feature. The development team has also announced the first post-release content in a set of free updates scheduled to happen over the next six months including new gameplay modes, new features, and new moves to expand players’ customizable Combat Deck.

 

Quake Champions enters Early Access phase on August 22nd

Bethesda has announced that id Software’s multiplayer fragfest, Quake Champions, will officially exit the Closed Beta phase and enter into Early Access on Steam and through the Bethesda.net launcher on August 22nd. This Early Access build will come with a host of new content, including new maps, features, and a special new Champion – the mighty DOOM Slayer from id Software’s hit game, DOOM.

PCGamer has shared a new video, showing 13 minutes of gameplay footage from Wild West Online. Wild West Online is a systems-driven, open world, Wild West-themed action MMO built from the ground up for PC and featuring world exploration, resource gathering, PvP combat, PvE missions and much more. The game is currently planned for a December 2017 release and there has been a controversy surrounding it and Sergey Titov (as the game uses the Nightshade Engine). 612 Games made it crystal clear, however, that it is neither a subsidiary of Free Reign, nor financed by Free Reign or Sergey Titov.

A massive, dry expanse with swamplands, this particular area of the New World sees creatures who inhabit the areas adapting to survive.

Bandai Namco has released some new screenshots for Ni no Kuni II: REVENANT KINGDOM. Ni no Kuni II: REVENANT KINGDOM recounts the story of this deposed king in his journey to build his own kingdom and unite the whole world. These new screenshots showcase the game’s Skirmish mode, as well as some new environments. Ni no Kuni II: REVENANT KINGDOM is currently planned for a January 19th release.

Bandai Namco has released the Gamescom 2017 screenshots for Project CARS 2. Project CARS 2 promises to look and run better than its predecessor, will feature 180 cars, 60 locations, 130 layouts, and a new Career mode with fan-desired improvements, careful refinements and all-new features. The game is currently planned for a September 22nd release.
