Rose tinted glasses don't really help.
I can see some decent mascots today compared to the past which came from a time when being cringe worthy was passable and supposedly funny.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
