Lived there? How was it like living in Japan while (I assume) not being Japanese.

It was pretty great actually. I've met and hung out with a lot of Japanese, and they're pretty fun to hang out with, especially kids. They're usually very fascinated with you and ask you a lot of questions... or stare at you with a pinch of dread on their face xD There's a lot of places to go to that is in pretty close distance, unless you live on the countryside... but a game center/arcade was nearby whenever I needed my gaming arcade fix, some good places around to eat (like sushi train places, I loved going to those), there's some shrines around if you're looking for Japan's more traditional side, and if you're looking for games/anime good, there are shops around. Festivals are really fun to go to as well, so I'd try to go to all the local ones in my area.

I could go on with it, but that's just a sampling of my time there.
